After releasing their genre – defying debut EP, No Compromise in April, which featured remixes from some of the cutting edge producers around, including Polkadot, Maths Time Joy and Bwana, DRDR deliver their follow up, Drums Never End EP, released on 11th August.
Lead track ‘All Night‘ opens the EP, starting another 3 track journey for the young trio from Brighton. The organ piano intro takes you back into the 90’s heightened by the smoky vocals of frontwoman Donna Cursons until the beat comes in and you realize that DRDR have once again put their own signature sound whilst incorporating a new direction in their tracks. ‘Ecstasy’ and ‘You Lied’ follow suit, confirming the overall EP is a more rounded and house-orientated offering this tine around.
After releasing on Toddla T’s ‘Girls Music’ label, current MadTech producer Walter Ego steps in on remix duty this time around, with a brilliant rework of the lead track ‘All Night’ and taking it into banging disco territory that Skream himself would be proud of.
With 1xtra’s Cameo & Trevor Nelson and Kissy Sell Out their admirers at radio, along with a host of online tastemaker support including Line of Best Fit, Clash Magazine, Notion and over 75 blog posts, DRDR are one act still going from strength to strength.
